Gwangyang Port is a deep industrial and logistics port divided into Gwangyang Area and Yeocheon Area, handling containers, iron ore, coal, steel products, automobiles, crude oil, refined products, chemicals and LNG. Its facilities serve the Gwangyang steel works and the Yeosu petrochemical complex. Yeosu Port is operationally distinct and is now centred on cruise, passenger and small-craft functions. March 2026 facility tables identify only the cruise and New Port passenger berths in Yeosu’s rated berth capacity.
