Overview of Ulsan Port
Ulsan Port is an industrial port on Korea’s south-east coast serving refining, petrochemicals, automobiles, shipbuilding and heavy industry. Ulsan Port Authority divides the operating port into Ulsan Main Port, Onsan Port, Mipo Port and Ulsan New Port. Liquid bulk is a defining function: dedicated oil and chemical berths are supplemented by single-point moorings for crude carriers up to 350,000 DWT. Main Port also has automobile, grain, coal and general-cargo berths; Mipo supports steel and shipbuilding; New Port combines liquid-bulk, general-cargo and container facilities.
